Is Abra HR easy to use?
A: Actually yes it is. If you are used to the look and
feel of Windows XP®, you are in luck! Since the release of v7.0
it looks just like XP -- same icons and all.
Q:
How much is Abra HR for human resources?
A: It starts as low as $595 for up to 75 "active"
employees. All modules ship as a single (concurrent) user.
Q:
What if I still want to use ADP or Paychex as my Payroll Bureau?
A: Great question! It's OK to stay with them for a little
while, luckily Best Software came out with standard import/export
templates for these bureaus. They are available with Abra Link.
Retail cost of the link is $1150 for the product.
Q:
What about FMLA and Abra HR?
A: Simply assign a leave of absence in Abra HR, find the
employee you want to place on leave, access the Leave of Absence
page and provide the applicable FMLA Event information. Abra has
a handfull of standard FMLA reports ready for you to print.

Does Abra HR keep up on Government Compliance Issues?
A: Absolutely! If you are a SupportPlus subscriber year
after year, you will receive updates automatically through Best
Software.

Is Abra Payroll easy to use?
A: Actually yes it is. If you are used to the look and

How many reports ship with Abra Payroll?
A: Well over 100 standard reports come pre-formatted with
payroll. Plus, if you need extra reports, you can always create
customized reports with the built-in Crystal Report Writer®.
Q:
Does Payroll integrate with HR and other Abra modules?
A: Yes indeedy! Abra Payroll seamlessly integrates with
all the other Abra modules such as HR and Attendance.
Q:
Can I run some kind of a report or something to calculate the gross
earnings for an Employee?
A: The Gross Up Calculator calculates the gross amount
of money that the employer needs to pay in order for an employee
to receive a predetermined net amount. For example, if you want
an employee from California to receive a net check of $2000, then
you would enter a desired net amount of $2000.00, and the system
will calculate the gross amount required to achieve that net pay
amount.

Is Abra Attendance easy to use?
A: Actually, yes it is. If you are used to the look and

Why do we need Abra Attendance?
A: Abra Attendance is extremely flexible and allows you
to define your own rules for accruing and tracking employee absences
and attendance benefits. In addition, management reports and analyses
allow you to quickly detect problems with employees or within departments.
Q: Is Attendance required in order to track FMLA?
A: If you installed Abra HR but you did not install Abra
Attendance, you can still track leaves of absence covered by FMLA.
Simply assign a leave of absence in Abra HR, find the employee you
want to place on leave, access the Leave of Absence page and provide
the applicable FMLA Event information.

Recruiting Solution
Q:
Biggest Question :: What about tracking Requisitions?
A: The Requisition page contains information about an open
job position, such as salary, status, EEO classification, recruiter,
location and supervisor. This page includes four tabs: General,
Status, Recruiting Costs, and Additional Data.
The
Applicants button allows you to add or delete specific applicants
to the requisition at the time it is created, or at any time thereafter.
When you click on the Applicants button, the Assigned Applicants
page opens, listing all the applicants who have been assigned to
the requisition.
Q:
What about standard reporting?
A: Their are (9) requisition, (14) custom recruiting (using
built-in Crystal Reports), (10) interview and status, (9) applicant
information, (7) EEO (Equal Employment Opportunities), audit trail
reports and the built-in Crystal Report Writer.
Q:
Does the Recruiting Solution post my job openings on my web site?
A: No. Just about the only feature that Recruiting Solutions
does not offer. It has the capabilities of pulling down from the
web site posting, but it does not post them from the software application
to the web site. If you are looking for a web-based recruiting software solution, check out Sage Abra eRecruiter!
Q:
Can this product stand on it's own? Or do you need Abra HR?
A: Abra Recruiting Solution can stand-a-lone. However,
if sold on it's own, the minimum configuration requirement is at
the 1000 employee level. Which sells at $4,835 retail for the Product
cost and an additional $680 for annual SupportPlus.
